When we think about Brazil in Germany, the first things on our mind are the Amazonas rainforest, the political shift to the right with Bolsonaro, or the fabulous Carnival. But what about Jewish life?

We will meet Júlia Herszenhut from Brasília and Rebeka Anbinder from São Paulo. They are active in reform Jewish communities in their cities. We will learn about Jewish communities in Brazil and about their historical connection to German Judaism. The talk will be in English.
